LNS Turbo SFcompact boosts productivity
The innovative chip conveyor SFcompact convinces with self-cleaning filtration to 50 microns and easy handling of most materials and chip types, making manufacturers more efficient.

Easy handling of most materials and chip types, self-cleaning filtration to 50 microns, the reduction of machine downtime and an overall boost in productivity: The customer feedback about the new LNS Turbo SFcompact is outstanding.

Mr Hervé Comment, General Manager of Precidec Sarl, explains: “It is not just a simple conveyor. The prefiltration is a real innovation, reducing maintenance and optimizing production hours.” Precidec Sarl, based in Moutier, Switzerland, produces components for the watch industry, medical equipment as well as connectors. The manufactured parts are used in various applications from mobile phones to defibrillators and luxury watches. Many different materials are machined in the production processes of the Swiss manufacturer. Mr. Comment: “That is why we needed a chip conveyor that can handle a wide range of materials. It should prevent the machine from jamming and increase its capacity to work in an autonomous manner.” Besides the flexibility, the self-cleaning filtration of the innovative SFcompact is the main advantage for Precidec Sarl: “The SFcompact returns clean filtered coolant back to the coolant tank. It is important to mention this point when you know how much time we used to spend for the cleaning of the coolant tanks. The SFcompact means reduced maintenance and improved productivity.”

“Top all-rounder”
Rolf Ochsenbein, Member of the Management of Moser-Ingold AG, agrees: “The SFcompact is a top all-rounder. It has no problems with long stringy chips or the finest brass chips. After testing this innovative chip conveyor for 1.5 years, I have to say it is a good product for all materials that we process.” Moser-Ingold AG, based in Thörigen, Switzerland, specializes in the machining of ready-to-install parts for sectors such as mechanical engineering, drive technology, high voltage distribution and medical devices. The specialized company processes a wide range of materials, including different types of steel, aluminium, and non-ferrous metals. “For our production processes, especially with high-pressure-coolant, it is essential that the chip conveyor can handle different materials without disruptions and that it offers pre-filtration.” The fact that the SFcompact has no drum filter is positive, too. “When processing certain materials, the cleaning of drum filters was quite complex and time-consuming. The SFcompact has eliminated such downtimes”, explains Mr. Ochsenbein.
