NEOSWISS Indexable Heads
Numerous application possibilities, short set-up times, user-friendly - the new NEOSWISS turning system with different interchangeable heads supports the user in machining small parts on sliding headstock lathes.
For machining small components, sliding headstock lathes with bar feed are usually the first choice. But the narrow machine room of the machines often presents the user with problems when changing tools: it is narrow and confusing, the tools are slippery because of the cooling lubricant. To change the cutting edges, the entire tool has to be removed and then reinserted. This results in long set-up times.
This is where the new NEOSWISS turning system from ISCAR's NEOLOGIQ campaign comes in. The shaft of the NEOSWISS remains in the machine during the change. The operator only removes the tool head, which he simply reinserts after the cutting edge or head change. There is no need for calibration or re-starting, and the machine is ready for immediate use with practically no set-up time.
NEOSWISS consists of a shank and six different tool heads for all typical machining operations such as turning, parting and grooving, threading or recessing. These can be equipped with different ISCAR cutting edges, for example with PENTACUT 17 cutting sets, ISO or DO-GRIP inserts. The heads are fastened in a user-friendly way with just one screw in the shank. Thanks to the special clamping mechanism and four-point contact, they sit firmly and securely. NEOSWISS thus has the same stability as a monobloc shank tool.
