SIAMS becomes autumnal for medical reasons
After consulting all its exhibitors, the show for the entire microtechnology production chain announces in turn that it is postponed. The organizers note the incredible support and encouragement of their exhibitors.
In a few minutes, more than 100 questionnaires were filled in and after 24 hours, the majority of exhibitors had responded to the organizers' requests. The organizers thank them warmly.
Postponement mandatory
The risks were considered too serious to retain the original dates. In the event of a last minute cancellation, all the expenses of the organizers and exhibitors would have been incurred. With a decision today, these financial burdens are minimized even if they remain significant. "Furthermore, many exhibitors told us that the risk of holding an event with no visitors was too great and that they would cancel their participation if we maintained SIAMS," explains Laurence Roy, Client Manager.
A process that is as transparent as possible
All exhibitors were able to express their views on the postponement, and a clear trend emerged for the November alternative, although the opinions of exhibitors from the German-speaking part of Switzerland were more pronounced. "SIAMS is postponed from 10 to 13 November. We are going to propose to our exhibitors to put in place everything that was planned for April seven months later", explained Pierre-Yves Kohler, Director.

The SIAMS organisers would like to thank the exhibitors and partners for their support during this chaotic period and assure them that they will immediately get back to work to make SIAMS 2020 a superb edition, even if it is postponed.
