Tornos achieves another significant increase in order intake and sales
The Tornos Group has continued its positive business performance from the previous year, increasing order intake and sales again considerably in the 2018 financial year.
- Order backlog at an all-time high
- All product lines performed well
- Significantly higher sales in service and used machinery business
Net sales amount to CHF 214.9 million, which is 20.2% above the previous year’s result of CHF 178.8 million. At CHF 245.0, order intake is 18.4% higher than the corresponding prior-year figure of CHF 207.0 million. Tornos achieved a record order backlog at the end of 2018 with an increase of 59% to CHF 101.0 million. This represents orders for more than six months.
