Oqton MOS: Less coordination, more output in production
Oqton MOS: Manufacturing Execution System โ less coordination effort, higher throughput
Enquiries arrive via email; a time-critical component forces ad hoc rescheduling of entire production orders. A re-run due to scrap throws the schedule into disarray. Repeat components are re-entered into the system every time, even though all production steps are already known. And in between, a customer call interrupts production, just to enquire about the current production progress. ๐งโฑ๏ธ๐
MOS automates precisely these processes:
- Customers and sales track the order status independently via the portal; production remains undisturbed ๐๐
- Repeat parts go straight from the catalogue into production; the production plan, parameters and quality specifications are already stored ๐โ๏ธ
- Work steps are automatically scheduled using the waterfall principle, depending on availability at batch or individual part level; special cases are specifically adjusted in the GANTT chart ๐๏ธ๐
- Reprints due to rejects are detected and seamlessly integrated into the existing 3D printing queue ๐จ๏ธโป๏ธ
The result: less internal coordination thanks to transparency, shorter lead times where necessary, and a production team that focuses on manufacturing rather than coordination. ๐๐ญ
