Industrial cybersecurity: WAGO, your trusted partner in Switzerland
Stay on the Safe Side with WAGO
The threat of cyber attacks is steadily increasing, and new EU directives, such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the NIS-2 Directive, require comprehensive security measures. In the future, companies will need to protect both their OT and IT systems.
We help you achieve exactly that with a holistic security concept and consulting services in OT security, complemented by a combination of precisely tailored hardware and software solutions. Let us strengthen your cybersecurity together!

Cybersecurity is a leadership responsibility
The digital integration of industrial production processes delivers significant efficiency gains, but it also introduces substantial risks. A cyberattack against OT systems can not only bring plants to a standstill, it can also disrupt entire supply chains and create existential threats for companies.
Protecting these digitally networked structures is therefore not just a technical task, it must be anchored at a strategic level. Cybersecurity has to be treated as a responsibility of the executive leadership. This applies in particular to investment decisions, risk assessments and the allocation of resources.
While large enterprises are increasingly aware of this, many SMEs still lack that awareness, even though they are especially vulnerable.
WAGO Cybersecurity
Regulatory requirements in focus in Switzerland and the EU
With the NIS2 Directive (EU 2022/2555) and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), binding cybersecurity requirements have been established across Europe that also have a direct impact on Swiss exporters. NIS2 has applied since October 2024 and sets minimum cybersecurity requirements that must be implemented in national law.
Adopted in 2024, the CRA targets digital products with elevated security risk, including OT systems, and defines clear obligations around compliance, reporting and product liability. Its main provisions will gradually apply from 2026 and 2027.
In parallel, the Swiss National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) issues a wide range of recommendations and guidelines that incorporate and complement many EU aspects, in order to provide an effective local security framework.
Protection through integrated security strategies
WAGO supports companies with a multi-layered concept for securing OT networks. The solutions include security assessments, consulting, real-time monitoring and the targeted implementation of compliance requirements. A key element is the “Cybersecurity Network Sight” system, which detects threats at an early stage. Complementing this, the “Cybersecurity Analysis” platform provides concrete recommendations for risk reduction and network segmentation.
These analyses are based on up-to-date data from the OT network and enable a reliable assessment of the current security level. For particularly critical infrastructures, WAGO also offers the simulation of attack scenarios to identify structural weaknesses. Combining technical tools with strategic consulting delivers a high level of security, tailored to the specific requirements of industrial environments.
Cooperation for practical implementation
Together with specialist partner Radiflow, WAGO is gradually expanding its portfolio with security solutions that have already proven themselves in real industrial operation. The objective is to enable users to operate their OT systems in a reliable and compliant way, even without an in-house security team.
The integrated tools are based on recognised standards and provide effective protection against attacks without complicating existing processes.
Regulation radar
- Directive, for example NIS2 (EU 2022/2555), in force since 18 October 2024, defines binding cybersecurity standards with mandatory national transposition.
- Act, for example Cyber Resilience Act. Directly applicable regulation covering sanctions, compliance obligations and product liability for digital devices.
- Standard, for example IEC 62443. Internationally recognised standard for technical and organisational security measures in OT and IACS over the entire device life cycle.
