A funny little story (sort of) - False SIAMS addresses – Episode 2
We told you about the sellers of fake SIAMS addresses... here is a follow-up with some email exchanges...
We were contacted by Jessica Richard with an email that included the SIAMS logo. She offered us the opportunity to receive the list of SIAMS visitors.
Full of goodwill, we expressed our interest... Five minutes later, we received an offer from his colleague Frank Wilson for 950 USD or 999 USD depending on the options... And once again, full of goodwill, we asked Frank how this was possible, given that the trade fair was not taking place for another two months... And once again, five minutes later, we received his reply.
He tells us that he is the official media partner of SIAMS and works as a marketing support for organisers and visitors.
Wow, that sounds pretty professional... but of course it's not.
The above exchanges are real... but these so-called partners are not. SIAMS would never sell its customers' addresses! ... Stay away!
