Reliable express delivery of spare parts with 14 automated storage systems from Hänel
Reliable on-site service and fast processing of spare parts requests – 7,500 spare parts are readily available for quick retrieval in eight Hänel Lean-Lift® units and six Hänel Rotomat® storage systems.
HEDELIUS Maschinenfabrik in Meppen develops and manufactures high-performance vertical CNC traveling column machining centers. Its customers include numerous well-known machine manufacturers and their suppliers from a wide range of industries. For its extensive machine portfolio, the company guarantees machine availability of 95%. As part of this service, customers can, among other things, submit spare parts requests directly from the machine to the service center or arrange appointments for on-site service.
All orders related to service requests are then consolidated in the company’s central warehouse.
From here, spare parts are shipped to customers, and the company’s own service technicians are supplied with materials and tools.
Provision of specialized tools for rapid service deployment
Service technicians already carry a wide range of tools for repairs and inspections. If special equipment is required for a particular machine, the tool storage system is accessed. A network of six Hänel Lean-Lift® units stores numerous fixtures and specialized equipment for rapid deployment to technicians. Some of these large tools consist of multiple components or are stored as complete sets in cases. The flexible Hänel multifunction containers in the Hänel Lean-Lift® provide an optimal system for organization and storage.
