Picking area can be gained on existing storage space with BITO Storage Technology's pallet racking optimization. The standard pallet rack is supplemented, for example, with light storage levels, additional flow levels, or complete carton live storage racks and/or shelving units on the lower level, thus creating a picking area in the existing warehouse with little effort. The upper levels of the pallet rack can continue to be used as a buffer zone. This not only allows for the compaction and optimal use of storage space, but also accelerates the picking process to save time. Expansion with double-deep pallet live storage racks for additional enlargement of the picking zone for picking pallets or from pallets is also conceivable. Whether installed from the outset or for retrofitting an existing warehouse – BITO pallet racking optimization is a dynamic system that allows for continuous individual adjustments to new requirements. If requirements change again, dismantling is easily possible at any time.

Highly efficient utilization of storage space in the pallet storage area is achieved, for example, through the use of BITO Storage Technology's mobile pallet racking system. With this system, the aisles between the pallet racks are eliminated due to the mobility of the individual rack elements, allowing the available space to be filled more densely with racks. Compared to equipping with a conventional pallet racking system, this results in an increase in storage capacity of up to 180 percent on the same footprint and up to 50 percent savings in storage space.

The BITO pallet live storage racking system provides flexibility in storage and a time advantage in tour preparation for industries with fast inventory turnover or when, for example, attention needs to be paid to freshness or seasonal fluctuations need to be accommodated. The system enables efficient and dense pallet storage according to the LiFo or FiFo principle. In the pallet live storage racking system, no operating aisles are required within the rack block, so that 60 percent of the storage space can be saved compared to a pallet rack. Travel times are reduced by 40%.

Maximum storage density and high throughput are achieved with the BITO Pallet Shuttle. The remote-controlled, battery-powered shuttle travels into the lanes of a drive-in rack instead of a forklift, bringing the palletized goods to the forklift or taking the goods from the forklift and bringing them to the storage location. Since no auxiliary incline is required, the storage density in existing warehouse space is additionally increased, and the travel distances for storing and retrieving goods are minimized.
