Resulting from powder metallurgy, the material is available in numerous variants, both in terms of particle size and concentration.
The finer grades are more resistant to shock, the larger ones are more resistant to abrasion, between the two, there are also "bi-nodal", comprising two grain sizes, the finest being housed between the larger, thus increasing the diamond concentration.

The right choice of PCD combined with the right tool geometry, the right nature of the support or even the right sharpening technology, is what makes the difference between a high-performance tool and one that does not give satisfaction… “The devil is always in the details”, expert words 🙂!
