Maximum Rigidity Through Ram-Type Design
The U500 is based on a ram-type construction.
The Z-axis movement is achieved via an extending ram, while the column remains fixed. The ram precisely positions the spindle through horizontal and vertical movement.
Combined with the massive cast-iron base, this creates an exceptionally stable machine structure with high intrinsic rigidity and optimal vibration damping.
Increased spacing between guide blocks significantly reduces deflection and vibration. Loads are evenly distributed throughout the structure — enhancing precision and reducing long-term wear.
Fully Closed-Loop Control for Maximum Accuracy
All axes (X, Y, Z, A, C) are equipped with linear scales and operate in full closed-loop mode.
