Future-proof cooling lubricant concept
The Production Technology Centre (PTZ) Berlin is the reference for questions about production processes.
Cooling lubricants have an enormous influence on process security in production and this should not be left to chance. It is not just because of lubricants that MOTOREX was the obvious choice.
Back in 2022 when the institute wanted cutting oil for a new KERN MICRO HD Maschine, they chose MOTOREX. The newly developed, high-performance cutting oil SWISSCUT DECO EX 10 resp. SWISSCUT DECO EX 10 met all the requirements: fantastic cutting performance, low evaporation and a very high flash point. In machining, µ accuracy is often the aim and has already been found here several times. The ultra-precision laboratory where the machine is located always keeps the temperature at a constant – and with a tolerance of ± 0.5°C at that! This is the only way to meet the high accuracy and repeatability requirements. The fact that milling tools with a diameter of 50 µm (which is about half the width of a human hair) are routinely used here is yet another amazing feat.
