News from BITO LEO transporters

BITO-Lagertechnik Bittmann GmbH offers a smart solution for anyone seeking a simple and cost-effective way to automate material flow in warehousing and picking areas. BITO demonstrates how easy, economical, and highly efficient automated material flow can be, and that automating intralogistical processes doesn't always have to be expensive and complex.

BITO's LEO transporters make it easier for users to get started with automating material processes, possible from just CHF 20,000. Not only are the investment costs low, but the implementation efforts are also minimal, as there are no lengthy software projects involved. Following the "keep automation simple" principle, the system is a particularly flexible all-in-one complete solution that's immediately ready for use and can be deployed individually without an IT connection. The ROI of this easily scalable solution is achieved within the first 12 months after purchase. Notably, the system requires little space and therefore functions well even in confined areas and small warehouses or production halls.

All LEO transporters share a common feature: only an optical track is taped to the floor for guidance, which the transporter follows. Stops, loading, or movement commands are given by markers also attached to the floor. This completes the basic installation. The system can now also bridge heavily frequented transition paths, where the track tape might be damaged over time by extreme loads, without the need for a track.

What Applications are Suitable for BITO's LEO Driverless Transport System, and What Variants Are Available?

BITO-Lagertechnik's LEO transporters connect workstations and can support a wide variety of internal processes as feeders in warehouse and picking areas, or as a conveyor belt replacement or buffer storage in production. This driverless, flexible, and individually deployable transport system not only saves users many trips and thus time, but it also saves costly alternative solutions.

Since the first LEO transporter was launched in 2017 as a driverless container transporter, the LEO transporter family has continued to grow, and more and more applications and internal transport processes can be automated and developed with this simple and very economical system. The potential offered by BITO-Lagertechnik's driverless transport system is significant. With continuous optimizations and further developments, the specialist for customer-oriented intralogistics solutions adapts to the dynamic market conditions in logistics, the rapidly growing e-commerce sector, and the production area. Furthermore, the system becomes a valuable alternative solution, especially in times of skilled labor shortages.

New additions to the LEO transporter family are the LEO flow and the LEO carrier:

LEO flow: Enables space-saving transport in logistics and production in combination with conveyor technology. This LEO transporter variant is equipped with a belt conveyor and is therefore suitable for transporting containers and trays, as well as loose, non-standardized goods. LEO carrier: The LEO transporter has been expanded with a fixed shelving structure consisting of four shelf levels. The individual shelf levels are height-adjustable, allowing the spacing to be individually adapted to the goods to be transported.
