Polishing pads
SOMOS has been using polishing pads selected from the best suppliers for many years. We regularly test the performance of our machines in our laboratory. The choice depends on the material being worked, the surface finish required and the abrasive suspension used. SOMTEC-CH offers a wide choice to cover as many applications as possible, from surface preparation to final polishing.
Abrasive suspensions
The SOMOS Group has been developing and manufacturing abrasive slurries for over 30 years, using the highest-quality abrasive materials on the market. SOMTEC-CH offers a complete range of over a hundred references, using synthetic diamond, silicon carbide, aluminum oxide or colloidal silica.

Carriers
Carriers are components that hold workpieces in place during grinding, lapping or double-sided polishing operations.
SOMTEC-CH offers a complete range of satellites in different materials. Our technical team designs the tooling directly from the drawing of the part to be produced, to guarantee the best results.
The choice of material depends mainly on the final thickness of the part to be machined.
We offer 3 basic materials as standard. Steel for the thinnest parts (0.1 to 0.5 mm), epoxy for parts of intermediate thickness (0.3 to 3 mm) and PVC for the thickest parts.
