As the existing portal automation solution at Emerson Professional Tools AG was defective, they were looking for an immediately available, simple installation with a small footprint. The FANUC CRX was the perfect solution. It impresses with its small footprint and ease of installation and programming. Now the CRX automates the removal of finished parts directly from the lathe as well as offcuts from the bar feeder. Machine availability has been increased to 96% per day. In addition, the productivity of the machine has been increased, as a complete ghost shift can now be run, which was not possible with the old handling system.
