Swiss-MicroTurn: after the chip control, a new holder
A few months ago, one of our partners requested a prototype based on a round holder with a side coolant inlet as well as one of our dental screw boring cutters.
We had to wait for a picture to understand the addressed issue:
When producing orthopaedic screws or dental implants, the inner machining is often done on the sub-spindle without high-pressure cooling or with external supply only.
This led to significant issues with the chips and a serious cleanliness problem. Small chips or dust remain in the inner thread, causing a great deal of rework and hand cleaning.
We have designed a new round holder based on the lessons learned with the prototype.
It has:
- A high-pressure inlet thread on its side
- 4 clamping surfaces to cover every clamping position
- Standard Ifanger MicroTurn clamping & positioning
- The shaft can be cut off to fit any specific setting without any issue or leakage.
The combination of this Ifanger Swiss-MicroTurn holder with our new MicroTurn MTEP or MTEF for perfect chip control is the best on the market and ensures the utmost process stability.
- MTHA 19070/4SK --> for 3/4" clamping
- MTHA 22070/4SK --> for Ø22 mm clamping
The overall length is set to 70 mm,the thread to M8x1.
